There is some fantastic action this Saturday with both the Fighting Fifth and Long Distance Hurdle races at Newcastle and Newbury, respectively. Not to mention the extremely exciting and competitive Hennessy Gold Cup chase.
The unbeatable Big Bucks should have little problem in seeing of today’s’ rivals in decisive fashion. At the odds he is not a betting proposition unless you want to earn a higher interest rate than you’ll get at the bank. If you’re looking for one for the forecast or Big Bucks to slip up then Reve De Sivola could provide the biggest threat. He won the Grade 1 Iris Champion Novices Hurdle on his last hurdles start before going chasing. Back over the smaller obstacles it will be interesting to see how he fares.
There are many in with chances in the Hennessy Gold Cup including Tidal Bay, Bobs Worth, Frisco Depot, The Package and Hold On Julio. I quite like the chances of Duke of Lucca at 25/1. He may not be the classiest but showed up very well on his comeback run at Aintree and has some good form in novice chases.
